After the Awakening, in which the world transformed from a mundane, dormant world, into a world of magical potential and mystical powers, it was quickly discovered that there were those who channeled their power inward, improving their bodies and driving their physical performances with their own magic, boosting it to extraordinairy excellence. These men and women were quickly refered to as "physical adepts," or "followers of the somatic way."
These individuals were an equal minority in a group of metahumans who could truly call themselves Awakened; the magically active. But there's another minority to be identified amongst the Awakened with powers similar to those of the physical adept, but far harder to discover; the social adept. They, too, channel their magic inward and fuel their own bodies with the power coursing through their veins, but the result aren't incredible physical feats, but rather incredible social and mental abilities. For long decades the existence of these individuals were left undiscovered, and even now there is debate in what category these very rare individuals fall. Their late discovery is blamed on the difficulty with which you identify one of their potential; it's harder to identify an extraordinary social feat or mental feat than it is to identify an extraordinary physical feat because it produces a result that is clearly identifiable by one of the five senses.
Here are a collection of powers that a Social Adept can buy at character creation using his Power Points.
